COURT DOCKET

This page utilizes a function on a website outside of the direct control of the Halifax County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.  In order to access the Court Dockets of the various Halifax County Courts, please select one of the following two links:

General District Court Dockets

or

Circuit Court Dockets

On the Case information website, find the Halifax County Court the case will be heard in (Traffic, Civil, Criminal, Circuit, etc.) in the pull down menu. After typing in the defendant's name a list of cases will appear. Click on the case number in the left hand column to find out more details about each case. The form should have the time and date of the next hearing, as well as the courtroom number. For some courts the courtroom is not posted until three or four days before the court date.

IMPORTANT: Witnesses and other interested parties should always call 434-476-2139 during regular office hours to confirm that a case is still on the court docket.
